New York prosecutors have dropped a rape charge against Harvey Weinstein, after his accuser said she could not bear a fourth trial. He is still in jail for two other rape convictions.

New York prosecutors said Thursday they'll drop a rape charge against Harvey Weinstein, instead of trying the former movie mogul for a fourth time in the #MeToo-era case.

Weinstein still stands convicted of another sexual felony in New York and others in California, and is still behind bars.

June 25 (UPI) -- New York prosecutors will not retry disgraced film producer and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein on an unresolved rape charge related to actress Jessica Mann.

The charge was connected to allegations made by hairstylist and actor Jessica Mann, who accused Harvey Weinstein of raping her in a Manhattan hotel room in 2013.
