A western disturbance and easterly winds are set to trigger dust storms, thunderstorms and rain across north and east India from May 3 to May 5. The spell could ease heat and humidity in some areas, while raising risks from hail, lightning and poor visibility.

A fresh spell of pre-monsoon storms is expected across parts of north India on April 28. Forecasters say the bigger uncertainty is how much of the activity will translate into actual rain.
