Long-term live-in implies consent, refusal to marry not rape: Chhattisgarh High Court
The Chhattisgarh High Court dismissed a woman’s appeal against a man’s acquittal in a rape and unnatural sex case arising from their live-in relationship. It said a long-term live-in relationship can support a presumption of consent, and a later refusal to marry by itself does not amount to rape.
