From The Hindu Archives, September 14, 1926: In connection with the British film scheme mentioned in the message of the 11th September, it is stated that the six Indian rulers mentioned already have contributed quarter a million sterling in money, land and buildings. Maharaja of Alwar has offered £100,000 and free sites for cinema in India.
