Dutch June temperature record broken as 38.2°C recorded in Eindhoven
The Netherlands recorded its highest June temperature on record on Friday afternoon, with 38.2 degrees Celsius measured in Eindhoven at 2:40 p.m., according to Weeronline. The previous June record of 37.9 degrees Celsius dates back to 27 June 1947 in Venlo. Temperatures in Horst, Limburg, also climbed to around 38 degrees during the afternoon.Temperatures are set to climb even further in the coming hours, with a chance that 40 degrees Celsius will be reached. That threshold has only been recorded twice before, on 25 and 26 July 2019.
