Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Actor and comedian Russell Brand has been charged with two new offenses -- one rape and one sexual assault -- from two new women, London's Metropolitan Police said Tuesday.

The actor, comedian and YouTuber now faces seven counts of rape and sexual assault in Britain.

Russell Brand will appear in court on 20 January 2026 over the new charges.

He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 20 2026 in relation to these charges.
