LONDON, June 15 : British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Monday he would ban social media sites for all under-16s, saying it was needed to protect the wellbeing of children.

Britain on Monday became the fourth country, after Australia, Indonesia, and Malaysia, to ban social media platforms for all users under 16, with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer saying the move is necessary to protect children’s wellbeing.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has promised to "call time on a system that's failing our kids" ahead of his expected announcement of an under-16s social media ban.
