Sections of Green Island in Hanover under curfew

A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Green Island, Hanover.

The security measure took effect at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, September 27 and will remain in place until 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 29.

The boundaries of the curfew are:

North: Along the Prospect main road from Prospect Square to the big guango tree at Old Green Island intersection.

East: Along the Green Island main road from the guango tree to Cove Bridge.

South: Along the Caledonia road from Cove Bridge to Pell River Square.

West: 2,832 metres  from Pell River Square along the Cauldwell main road to the Prospect Square.

During the curfew, all persons are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
