Person dies in Eastbourne crash, access road closes

A person has died after a single vehicle crash closed Marine Drive - Eastbourne's only access road.

Emergency services were called to the scene on near Taumaru Avenue at 6:50pm.

Marine Drive is closed while a serious crash unit examines the scene.

Police said motorists should expect significant delays as the road would be closed for several hours.
