Power cut to 700 Dunedin properties

Around 700 properties are without power in hill suburbs bordering Otago Harbour.

Aurora Energy says homes in Andersons Bay, Highcliff, Macandrew Bay, Musselburgh, Shiel Hill, The Cove and Waverley have been affected by the unplanned outage at 2.20pm.

A line patrol was on the scene and the estimated time for power to be restored was 6pm, Aurora said on its website.
