Rest-home knitting for refugees

At the forefront is Leslie Leith who said she had been knitting on and off since last winter.
"It’s a good way to keep busy ... keeps my hands moving," she said.
Donna Hunt is the activities co-ordinator at Rose Lodge and organised this initiative.
She will be taking it to Red Cross and said it would be going to refugees and immigrants who came to New Zealand with nothing.
