Sofia Public Transport Schedule for New Year’s Eve and January 1 Holiday

From December 31, 2025, 23:30 until January 1, 2026, 04:30, metro trains on lines 1, 2, and 4 will run with intervals between 17 and 34 minutes, while line 3 trains will operate every 20 minutes.
Bus services during this period will include line 72 every 50 minutes, line 73 every 75 minutes, line 83 every 65 minutes, and line 85 every 70 minutes. Trolleybuses will operate on line 1 in coordination with line 2 every 50 minutes, line 2 in sync with line 1 every 50 minutes, line 7 every 50 minutes, and line 9 every 70 minutes. Tram services will cover line 5 in sync with line 11 every 30 minutes, line 7 with line 27 every 40 minutes, line 27 with line 7 every 40 minutes, line 10 with line 18 every 60 minutes, line 11 with line 5 every 60 minutes, line 18 with line 10 every 60 minutes, and lines 20 and 22 in coordination every 50 minutes.
On January 1, 2026, public transport will operate on holiday schedules until 15:30. Buses will run on lines 1, 11, 54, 56, 60, 61, 63, 64, 69, 72, 73, 74, 76, 77, 79, 82, 83, 88, 94, 98, 102, 107, 108, 111, 117, 120, 204, 213, 280, 305, 309, 310, 404, 413, 604, and 801. Trolleybuses will operate on lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11. Trams will be available on lines 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 18, 20, 22, and 27.
Notably, trams on lines 1 and 23, as well as trolleybuses on lines 3 and 8, will not operate during the holiday schedule. These measures are aimed at maintaining essential transport services while accommodating lower holiday demand.
