Puri: All three chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra reached the Puri Srimandir Singhadwara after being pulled by lakhs of devotees during the Bahuda Yatra this evening.

The pulling of chariots began following the completion of the rituals like the ceremonial Pahandi and Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb’s ‘Chhera Panhara’ rituals (ceremonial sweeping of the chariots with a golden broom).

The Taladhwaja chariot of Lord Balabhadra was first pulled on the Grand Road. It was followed by the Darpadalan chariot of Devi Subhadra and then Nandighosa of Lord Jagannath. The pulling back of the chariots completed by 11 PM, informed sources.
