Schools to remain closed for two days due to heavy rainfall in Kandhamal

Kandhamal: The Kandhamal district Collector has declared a two days holiday for all schools due to the incessant rainfall on Thursday. The schools will remain closed across the district for two days, on July 2 and 3, for students up to Class 12.

The decision was taken as the district has been experiencing intense and persistent rainfall over the past few days. The temporary closure was announced as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students amid the prevailing weather conditions.

However, examinations and other scheduled activities will remain unaffected by the closure.
