Noted poet Babu Noor Mohammad Noor passes away in J-K's Poonch

Poonch, Apr 04: Renowned poet and literary figure of the Pir Panjal region, Babu Noor Mohammad Noor, passed away after a prolonged illness.

The deceased was a well-known poet in Gojri and Pahari languages and had made invaluable contributions to literature, which will always be remembered with deep respect and admiration.

Noor Mohammad Noor belonged to the Chandak area of Poonch district. He was the father of noted Jammu and Kashmir poet and writer Javed Rahi.

According to family sources, the funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered today at 4 PM in his native area, Chandak.

On his demise, several literary, political, and social figures from Jammu and Kashmir, as well as from Poonch district, have expressed their condolences to his son, Javed Rahi.
