KPDCL announces power shutdown

Srinagar, Jan 01: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Thursday said that due to unavoidable maintenance works, the electricity supply will remain affected in several parts of Kashmir division in coming days.

In a communication shared by Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of 33 KV Habbak-Zakura line will be observed due to which power supply to Danihama, Khimber, Teilbal, Burzhama, Shopperbagh, Rahbagh, Batpora, Zakura, Gulabagh and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 04 January 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Rawalpora-Bagh-i-Mehtab line will be observed due to which power supply to Bagh-i-Mehtab, Old Mochwa, Kralpora, New Mochwa and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 03 & 07 January 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Nowbugh Nagam line will be observed due to which power supply to Kakawring, Yousmarg, Charar-i-Sharief, Hayatpora, Nagam, Badipora, Hafroo, Loolipora, Watkaloo, Gogjipathri and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 03 PM on 03, 06 & 10 January, 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Nowbugh-Chadoora line will be observed due to which power supply to Sogam, Repora, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Lalgam, Chadoora, Wathoora, Bugam, Gadsathoo, Kathairgund and adjoining areas will be affected from 09 AM to 03 PM on 03, 06 & 10 January 2026.
