2 female pedestrians injured in early morning crash in Vaughan

A 46-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after two pedestrians were seriously injured in an early morning crash in Vaughan.

A BMW and an Acura collided just before 2 a.m. on Major MacKenzie Drive at the Mackenzie Square Shopping Mall entrance, east of Jane Street.

York Regional Police say two female pedestrians were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

One of the drivers, 46-year-old Abdul Lodin of Bradford, has been charged with two counts of impaired operation causing bodily harm, two counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm and impaired operation with a blood alcohol level of 80 plus.
