Detour Now Available For SH1 Oamaru Closure

Only the southbound lane of part of State Highway 1 through Oamaru is now closed following a serious crash.

The lane closure is in place on SH1/Wansbeck Street near the intersection with Awamoa Road.

A detour is available as follows: Southbound traffic should use SH1/Wansbeck Street, turn right onto Towey Street, and take the first right onto Awamoa Street, then follow Awamoa Road back onto SH1/Wansbeck Street.
