EPL: John Terry backed to replace Maresca as Chelsea manager

Sky Sports reporter, Richard Keys, has said ex-Chelsea captain, John Terry, is the best man to replace Enzo Maresca at the Premier League club.

Maresca and the Blues mutually agreed to part way on Thursday morning.

Several names have been linked with the vacant role, but Keys has claimed that Terry is capable of replicating Frank Lampard’s success at Coventry City.

“If I’m a Chelsea fan I want to see JT given a go,” Keys wrote on X.

“He’s a Chelsea man to the core – has served time elsewhere & there’s no reason he can’t do what Lampard is doing at Coventry – with better tools.”
