Part of M1 Northbound fully closed after five-vehicle collision close to Drogheda

THE M1 NORTHBOUND between Junction 7 at Julianstown and Junction 8 at Duleek is completely closed following a five-vehicle collision.

The full road closure is close to Drogheda in Co Louth and Transport Infrastructure Ireland has advised motorists to expect significant delays and to use a different route.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently responding to the collision near Junction 7 on the M1 Northbound in Co Louth.

The collision happened shortly before 12pm.

A garda spokesperson said no further details are available at this time.
