Sparsha Darshan at Srisailam to be stopped on January 1
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduAnticipating heavy rush on January 1, 2025, the Srisailam temple authorities have decided to stop ‘Sparsha Darshan’ of Lord Mallikarjuna on the day. A large number of devotees are expected to visit Srisailam on that day as it is an optional holiday and also the first day of the New Year.
Temple executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao said that only ‘Alankara Darshan’ will be allowed on the day, in order to provide speedy darshan to the devotees in the ‘Sarva Darshan’ queue lines. Similarly, ‘Arjita Garbhalaya’ ‘Abhishekam’ and ‘Arjita Samuhika Abhishekams’ would be stopped on the same day.
The temple authorities also decided to stop the ‘Udaya Asthamana Seva’, ‘Pratahkala Seva’, and ‘Pradoshakala Seva’. The temple management will be providing drinking water and snacks to the devotees in the queue lines. ‘Annaprasadam’ will be served at the Annaprasada complex from 10:30 a.m. and ‘laddu prasadam’ will be made available at the sales counters.
