Brake-binding detains train at Ramanathapuram station

Smoke emitting from the underchassis of a coach of Rameswaram-Chennai Egmore Express led to its detention for some 15 minutes at Ramanathapuram railway station.

According to railway sources, brake-binding had led to the smoke. Duty Station Master and pointsman attended to the technical issue on the wheel of S-3 coach when it entered the station at around 6.45 p.m. The train left around 7 p.m.
