Andhra Pradesh Governor celebrates Christmas at Raj Bhavan

Abdul Nazeer felicitated by heads of various Christian Missions

Governor S. Abdul Nazeer participated in the Christmas celebrations held at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that on Christmas, people celebrate Jesus’ teachings of love, forgiveness, and compassion. He said the day is a time of healing, renewing strength and remembering to rejoice.

Christmas celebrations began with the singing of Christmas Carols, opening prayer, and Bible reading by Rev. I. Karunanidhi, Bishop Chaplain, CSI, and the Christmas message delivered by the Rt. Rev. Dr. T. George Cornelious, Bishop of CSI, Vijayawada.

The programme concluded with felicitation of the Governor by the heads of various Christian Missions, a cake-cutting event, a closing prayer by Major Paul Tumati, Divisional Commander, followed by Benediction by the Rt. Rev. B. Ebenezer of Bishop of Metropolitan Mission and prize distribution to the children.
