40 injured in jallikattu in Tiruchi district

The jallikattu event organised at T. Udaiyapatti village in the district on Sunday left 40 persons injured. As many as 804 bulls were released during the course of the eight-hour-long event with the number of participating tamers being 242.

The police said six injured persons were referred to the Government Hospital, Manapparai, while the remaining 34 injured persons were treated as out-patients at the event venue.
