Golden chariot procession held with religious ecstasy in Tiruchanoor

On the sixth day of the Tiruchanoor Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Kartika Brahmotsavam, Srivari Swarnapadukalu - the divine golden footwear of Lord Venkateswara Swamy, were brought from Tirumala temple to perform Garuda Seva on Tuesday evening.

Initially, the divine golden footwear were brought to the Pasupu Mandapam at Tiruchanur. After performing special pujas, they were taken inside the temple in a procession amidst the mangal vaidyam (traditional music), bhajans and kolatams.

On the day of Padmavathi Ammavari Garuda Seva, it is a tradition to decorate Srivari Swarna Padukalu. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) JEO Veerabrahmam, Temple Deputy EO Govindarajan and others participated in the programme.

On the same day, the procession of Swarna Ratham (golden chariot) was also held with religious ecstasy in Tiruchanoor. The idol of Padmavati Devi dazzled in jewellery and silk clothes to bless Her devotees along mada streets encircling the temple.
