Christmas celebrated with religious fervour in Tiruchi

Christmas was celebrated with religious fervour in Tiruchi and other districts in the region on Wednesday with congregational services.

Illuminated churches and church towers and colourfully-decorated Christmas trees greeted men and women, who attended the special congregation and masses in Tiruchi.

A large number of Christians turned up for the congregation at the churches and distributed cakes and sweets.

People gathered in large numbers at the Christmas mass held at the Basilicas of Our Lady of Good Health in Velankanni and Our Lady of Lourdes (Poondi Matha) in Poondi, besides other prominent Christian places of worship.
