Video. Over 1,000 structures destroyed and thousands evacuated in LA fire

Evacuation orders have been issued for tens of thousands of residents in Los Angeles County as the fire that broke out on the morning of 7 January has spread rapidly, reaching 57 square km within a day.

In the scramble to escape, roads became blocked, forcing many to abandon their vehicles and flee on foot.
