Dave Chappelle Adds Tour Dates, Including Headlining Madison Square Garden for New York Comedy Festival

Dave Chappelle has announced a slew of new arena dates as the comic is added to New York Comedy Festival as a headliner.

Chappelle will open the fest on Nov. 6 with a show at Madison Square Garden. He joins other headliners of New York Comedy Festival including Marc Maron, Ilana Glazer, Daniel Sloss and many more.

Chappelle will also perform at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Oct. 20, followed by Charlotte’s Spectrum Center on Oct. 21. He’ll also hit Toronto, Louisville, Austin and Houston (full dates below). The shows will be “phone-free experiences,” with devices stored away in Yondr pouches.

“Dave is one of the defining comedians of his generation and, without question, one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time,” said Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival. “To have Dave close out his tour by opening our festival is spectacular.”

Chappelle’s fall dates follow a busy summer for the comedian, who played a June arena run through Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago and San Diego before returning to his hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio, for the sixth edition of “Dave Chappelle’s Summer Camp.”
