Six vehicles impounded by Gardaí in one day in North Kildare this week

Naas Roads Policing Unit (NaasRPU) reported a “very busy four hours” in North Kildare earlier this week, as a total of six vehicles were impounded by Gardaí.

The offences detected on Tuesday, January 6 included:

  • No insurance
  • Unaccompanied learner permit holders
  • A disqualified driver who attempted to evade Gardaí but was stopped and arrested just 100 metres from their home

The disqualified driver has been charged and will appear before the courts.

Impound fees of €125 were applied to all six motorists, and the the driver(s) with no insurance now face a court appearance.

Unaccompanied learners were issued Fixed Charge Penalty Notices (FCPNs).
