'Threatened roommate with a knife at Kildare address'

A man who allegedly threatened a roommate with a knife is being prosecuted at Naas District Court.

Mark Murphy, 41, whose address was given at Peter McVerry Trust, Kerdiffstown, Naas, allegedly threatened the roommate with a boxcutter knife at his address on February 17, 2025.

The court heard that the man demanded €20.

The court heard that at the time of the hearing the defendant was in custody in Mountjoy and was due for release in December. Judge Desmond Zaidan adjourned the matter to February 18.
