Several tiffin centres closed down after raids in Telangana

During inspections, officials found unclean kitchens, no adequate storage space, cockroaches and food items without a manufacturing date.

Hyderabad: Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) ordered the closure of several hotels and tiffin centres after inspections across Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Friday, November 6.

Show cause and improvement notices have been issued to others.

During inspections, officials found unclean kitchens, no adequate storage space, cockroaches and food items without a manufacturing date. Establishments were also found not maintaining pest control or health records.

Raids are currently underway. Further details are awaited.
