2 hospitalized after 8-vehicle crash on Las Vegas freeway

The Nevada Highway Patrol was investigating a crash involving eight vehicles Friday morning on a Las Vegas freeway.

The agency said in a text message that the crash occurred at 10:08 a.m. on southbound Interstate 15, just north of the 215 Beltway.

The crash involved eight vehicles, including a semitractor-trailer, according to troopers.

Authorities said one vehicle ended up on top of another as a result of the crash.

Two people, including the driver of the semi-truck, were transported to a local hospital, police said.
