Major traffic closure on I-30 in Dallas this weekend

A heads up for drivers in Dallas this weekend. All lanes of EB/WB I-30 are closing between I-35E and I-45/US 75.

That closure goes into effect starting at 10 p.m. on Friday. It will last until 5 a.m. on Monday. The city shared these detours for drivers:

Drivers can also use the Woodall Rodgers Freeway as an alternate route if they need to go from east to west.

The City of Dallas said to expect delays and to try and avoid the area if you can.

Two long-term closures also went into effect in Dallas this week:

• Cesar Chavez Blvd. closed/detours at I-30 until late 2028.
• Good Latimer Expwy also narrows to one lane in each direction until early 2028
