Rant and Rave: Reader appreciates Halloween participants
by Submitted by Seattle Times readers · The Seattle TimesRAVE to all the kids who put on a costume, braved the wind and rain and came out trick-or-treating. To all the family and friends that went with them. To all those who turned on their porch light, welcomed the kids and gave them candy. And to those who decorated their homes making it fun for all of us to see and enjoy. Thank you all for keeping the fun and spirit of Halloween alive for all our children.
RANT to the two yard work professionals blowing a bunch of wet leaves into the middle of the street, and an arterial no less. Everyone, please consider reducing the amount of leaves on the roads. It makes driving safer and keeps storm drains clear.
RANT to people who believe the city streets are their garbage cans. Please bring your leftover fast-food garbage home with you and stop defacing our beautiful neighborhoods.
