Earthquake rattles Northern California near Ukiah
by Rick Hurd · The Seattle TimesA magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook Northern California early Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was centered about seven miles north of the census-designated area Redwood Valley in Mendocino County. The ground shook about 8:10 a.m., data from the USGS said.
The depth of the earthquake was about 1.1 miles below the earth’s surface.
It was not known immediately whether there were any injuries.
No other details were available.
