One person dead after falling off dock in Ballard

A person is dead after falling off a dock in Ballard, the Seattle Fire Department said Friday.

Crews arrived at the 4700 block of Shilshole Avenue Northwest, responding to reports that a person had fallen off the dock, SFD said in a social media post around 8 a.m. Friday.

Responders lifted the person out of the water and attempted lifesaving measures, but the person died before they could be taken to a hospital for further treatment.

No other details were immediately provided.
