Man accused of murdering UTech student Anisa Dilworth further remanded, to seek bail

Jamar Grant, the man charged for the death of University of Technology, Jamaica student Anisa Dilworth, was today further remanded in the St Catherine Parish Court to March 6, at which time his lawyer is to seek bail.

Grant, who is being represented by attorney Davian Vassell, is charged murder and kidnapping.

Allegations are that on May 7, Dilworth was last seen going into a taxi.

Ten days later, on May 17, the skeletal remains of a woman were found on a beach in Hellshire in Portmore, St Catherine.

Tests and DNA analysis were conducted and the remains were confirmed to be that of the 20-year-old pharmacy student.

Grant, otherwise called 'Balla', of Nine Miles, Bull Bay, St Andrew, and Sligoville, St Catherine, was subsequently arrested.

He was later charged.
