Sister Of The Girl Nolan Wells Allegedly Stayed Behind With Before His Mysterious Disappearance & Death Speaks Out

The sister of the girl Nolan Wells allegedly stayed behind with earlier this month is speaking out about his death.

As we previously reported, the 18-year-old was found dead a few days after disappearing during a boat trip to Horn Island in Mississippi with friends for the Fourth of July. An investigation has been launched to figure out what happened to Nolan, especially since friends and others have different stories about that day.

His pal, Warren Hudson, reportedly said their group frantically rushed off the island because their vessel took on water. However, Nolan had met a girl that day and refused to leave her to join them on the journey back to the mainland.

According to Dailymail.com on Thursday, that girl has since been identified as 19-year-old Katie McCormack — but she has a conflicting version of events! She reportedly told police Nolan told her he was going back with his friends. And she is sticking to that story. At least, so says her sister. Katie’s sibling, Gracie, told the outlet:

“Katie had a conversation and assumed that Nolan was getting ready to get on the boat he came out on. Katie assumed the ‘friends’ telling him to get on the boat wouldn’t have left him.”

Hmm…

Naturally, the differing events are raising the eyebrows of the Wells family and their attorney Ben Crump. The lawyer said:

“She saying he went and got on the boat. They saying he didn’t get on the boat. So which is it? The fact that you have the young lady who said that Nolan said he was going to get back on the boat with the boys, and then the boys said no, Nolan told them that he was going to stay with the girl. Somebody must not be telling the truth.”

Many question if race played a part in the death of Nolan, a Black student who was seemingly hanging out with an all-white friend group on the trip. Others say the currents near the island can be extremely dangerous. So far, Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lynd told CNN that there were no obvious signs of foul play or trauma on the teenager’s body. They’re still awaiting the toxicology results from the state medical examiner’s office. The Wells family also sent his remains off for an independent autopsy, and the cause and manner of death came back “undetermined.” Additionally, Crump noted the doctor couldn’t rule out foul play.

Hopefully, the Wells family will soon get justice and answers about what happened to Nolan.
