Cause Of Death Revealed For Bad Dad Who Left His 2-Year-Old Daughter To Bake To Death In Hot Car

Christopher Scholtes‘ cause of death has been revealed.

As we’ve been following, the 38-year-old father was in legal trouble after the death of his 2-year-old daughter. He’d left her in the sweltering Arizona heat inside his car while he went inside the house to look up porn and drink alcohol. Sadly, his wife Erika Scholtes came home to find their toddler Parker deceased.

An absolutely devastating story that took a shocking turn after Scholtes himself was found dead over a year after the July 2024 death of his daughter. At the time, he failed to show up to court for his sentencing, which led the District Attorney to say he’d died by suicide… And now, we have an official cause of death.

According to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner, Scholtes’ cause of death has been ruled as suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. This is what officials speculated on, but now it’s been confirmed.

Our hearts are still with Parker’s loved ones. She never should’ve died, especially not in such a horrific way. May she rest in peace.
