Lisa Marie Presley Praised John Travolta & Wife Kelly Preston's Parenting -- Years Before Riley Keough Bombshell!

Years before the bombshell allegation about Riley Keough dropped, Lisa Marie Presley had nothing but kind things to say about John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s parenting…

One year before Ben Travolta’s arrival, John and Kelly tragically lost their 16-year-old eldest son Jett Travolta in 2009 after he suffered a seizure and hit his head on a bathtub during a family vacation to the Bahamas. While many were sympathetic to the couple amid the tragedy, some blamed what happened on them and Scientology. John and Kelly were Scientologists, along with their pal Lisa, who wouldn’t stand for the hate toward the pair or their beliefs during that difficult time. Per the Huffington Post, the singer penned an emotional post on MySpace (remember that?!) to defend her “very good friends,” saying:

“Two of my very good friends, (John and Kelly Travolta ) the sweetest people in the world have just encountered the worst possible tragedy a parent could be forced to endure, the death of their son Jett. My heart is crying and bleeding for them. I personally would not have it in me to bury my own child. I am writing this because I have noticed that for the most part, people and the media have been very sympathetic and respectful, but there are those certain ones that want to use this horrible tragedy as an opportunity to once again, blame and or attack Scientology?”

Lisa then shut down the theory at the time that Scientology does not believe in medical treatment:

“Folks, as popular as it has been to discriminate and ridicule Scientology and Scientologist’s in the recent past , Now is NOT the time… It is not true that Scientologist’s ‘Don’t believe in’ medical care , medicine or medical Doctors and that may have something to do with this terrible tragedy. Just like anyone else, If one is sick , they go to the doctor, If a medication will make it better then they take it. If they don’t then they are an idiot and you can’t blame their religion.”

And ultimately, the musician knew John and Kelly were good parents who did everything they could for Jett before his death:

“Whatever medical and or physical condition Jett had , I can tell you first hand that his parents were on a tireless, never ending quest to get and provide him with the absolute best care anyone could ever ask for and need, Medically, physically, emotionally, medicinally and spiritually. I am not writing this to preach my beliefs, I am here to protect my friends.”

It is touching how Lisa Marie came to her pals’ defense, but we can’t ignore the timing or forget just how close she was to them! If you’ve seen the allegations in the bombshell lawsuit against Priscilla Presley‘s son, Navarone Garcia, you understand why! As we mentioned, Lisa shared the post one year before John and Kelly welcomed their son Ben in November 2010. Well, we learned through Priscilla’s former business partner Brigitte Kruse‘s lawsuit that Riley is allegedly his biological mom!

Here’s how the accusation goes:

According to Kruse, Michael Lockwood — Lisa Marie’s ex-husband — spilled all the tea, claiming that Kelly couldn’t have children. John and Kelly allegedly used Lisa Marie’s eggs to get pregnant in the past. However, Kruse said the couple, who are also parents to daughter Ella, allegedly no longer wanted hers due to her drug use, or as the suit harshly put it, they didn’t want “eggs with heroin.” Jeez. So, Kruse claimed John and Kelly turned to Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter.

Riley allegedly donated her eggs to John and Kelly to help them have another child in exchange for $10,000 to $20,000 and an old Jaguar. And ultimately, the two welcomed Ben. It’s absolutely WILD if true, right? But Priscilla slammed the “outrageous” accusations via her attorneys. However, Kruse and Kevin Fialko, another former business partner tangled in the ongoing legal drama with the Presley family, insist they are telling the truth. Hmm.

Neither Riley nor John has addressed the accusations yet, but this old post from Lisa Marie further proves the Presley family were close to the Travoltas… Perhaps closer than anyone ever really imagined. What are your thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
