Conference on Sustainable Development Goals on Oct. 7

Mysuru: MMK&SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Mysuru, managed by SDM Educational Society, Ujire, has organised ‘Confluence 2026 – Where Six Streams Meet: Ideas, Disciplines and a Sustainable Future,’ an International Multidisciplinary Conference on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Oct. 7 at the college auditorium in Krishnamurthypuram.

Organised as an IQAC initiative, the conference aims to bring together academicians, researchers, industry experts and students to explore innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference will feature six streams: Languages and Literature, Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, Physical Sciences and Life Sciences.

The conference will be inaugurated by Prof. P. Nagabhushan, Professor Emeritus, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru. Muralidhar Teppala, Founder and CEO of Shenzyn, Singapore, will deliver the keynote address. Dr. M.C. Varadaraj, Retired Chief Scientist, Department of Microbiology and Fermentation Technology, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, will be the guest of honour.

Dr. S. Kamani, Professor and Head, Department of General Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, will serve as the resource person. Prof. N. Bharathi, Principal of the College, will preside over the programme.

A major feature of Confluence 2026 will be the presentation of research and review articles addressing the conference theme and its multidisciplinary dimensions. Selected papers presented at the conference will be taken up for publication in an international peer-reviewed journal.

Academicians, research scholars, post graduate students and industry professionals may participate in this conference, share their research findings and contribute to meaningful discussions on sustainable development. OOD facility will be made available to the academicians.
