Bharti Singh Recalls Drinking Alcohol Before Taking Her Pregnancy Test, 'I Was 7 Weeks Pregnant...'

Bharti Singh once revealed that she was drinking alcohol a day before taking her pregnancy test during her first pregnancy.

Bharti Singh is one of the most loved stand-up comedians, who has won people’s hearts with her comic acts. She struggled, worked hard, and carved a name for herself in the industry. Bharti Singh got married to scriptwriter Haarsh Limbachiyaa in 2017. In April 2022, the couple welcomed their baby boy, named Laksh Limbachiyaa. 

On December 19, 2025, Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa welcomed their second son. According to an Indian Today report, it wasn't Bharti's due date, and she wasn't expecting the little one's birth yet. When she reached to shoot Laughter Chefs, Bharti experienced contractions, and her water unexpectedly broke, after which she was rushed to the hospital, where she delivered a baby boy.

When Bharti Singh drank alcohol before taking her first pregnancy test

Do you know that when Bharti was expecting her first son, Laksh, she wasn’t aware she was pregnant? She was partying and drinking the night before taking her pregnancy test. In an interview with ETimes TV, Bharti shared that she was partying and drinking beer when she found one of the pregnancy strips nearby and took the test the next morning. Revealing how she was in shock after the test came positive, Bharti said:

“We were partying and drinking beer, and I saw there was one pregnancy strip lying around. I thought of checking it. I did a test in the morning and went back to sleep. After a few hours, I saw two lines and showed Haarsh. He was in disbelief." 

Bharti Singh recalled giving a panic call to Kapil Sharma’s wife, Ginni

In the same interaction, Bharti revealed that she had called Kapil Sharma’s wife to inform her. She then went for some checkups, and her doctor told her that she was seven weeks pregnant. In her words:

“Then I called Kapil Bhai’s wife Ginni. Then I got a blood test done and the doctor told me I was 7 weeks pregnant. I said I was drinking and he said everything would stop. And instantly you become a mother and you keep touching your belly to protect your baby."

Bharti Singh revealed she never thought she would be able to conceive

Bharti has always been open about her struggles with weight. She has often revealed her tyranny with her weight. Speaking to The Times of India, Bharti said she has always been overweight but never felt bad when people made fun of her. She also revealed that she realised that she was not healthy when, during Covid, she couldn’t mop her own floor. However, after her marriage, Bharti thought she would not be able to conceive because of her weight.

Bharti Singh announced her second pregnancy at 41

On October 6, 2025, Bharti Singh surprised her fans by announcing her second pregnancy at the age of 41. She took to her Instagram handle and posted the first-ever glimpse of her second pregnancy. In the photo, Bharti was seen cradling her fully grown baby bump. On the other hand, her husband, Harsh, held her in his arms and touched her baby bump. It was a beautiful moment as the two posed against a scenic backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Along with it, Bharti wrote:

"We are pregnant again."
