Former Republican Senator, Ben Sasse announced that he has been suffering from stage four metastatic pancreatic cancer. It was on December 23, 2025, when Ben took to X, formerly Twitter, to write about the 'tough note'. He addressed his followers who suspected that something was wrong with Ben's health. He cut to the chase and shared that the previous week, he was diagnosed with metastasized, stage-four pancreatic cancer.

Ben Sasse, in his emotional but powerful note, called his cancer diagnosis a 'death sentence'. However, Ben stressed that he was determined to fight and make the best use of whatever time he had with his family. He revealed in his note that he has more to say and will not go away without fighting. In his note, Ben mentioned being hopeful because there have been jaw-dropping advances in science, especially in immunotherapy.

Ben Sasse studied at Harvard, Oxford, and Yale University

Ben Sasse was born as Benjamin Eric Sasse. He has been an American politician and also an educator. Ben grew up in Plainview, Nebraska, and his father, Gary Lynn Sasse, was a high school teacher and also a football coach. Ben Sasse's mom's name is Lynda Sassee. He was brilliant in academics and had become the valedictorian back in his high school. Ben Sasse's educational journey has been something unusual, especially for a modern politician like him. Ben has a B. degree in Government from the prestigious Harvard University. Ben had also studied at Oxford University as part of his junior-year international program. He also attended Yale University, where Ben earned an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in History. He wrote in his post about being blessed with amazing siblings and half a dozen buddies who are genuinely brothers. In his note, he even called death as a 'wicked thief'. Ben Sasse was a Republican U.S. Senator and also a Donald Trump critic

It was in 2023 when Ben Sasse left the Senate and became the 13th president of the University of Florida. It is one of the largest and also the most famous public universities back in the United States. Ben was appointed after a highly scrunitised process. Ben was also the president of Midland University, which is a small Christian university located in eastern Nebraska, before he became a senator.
