Authorities seize drugs hidden in 6-wheeled vehicle at Nyaung Kha Shay x-ray gate

Authorities seized ICE, WY, Happy Water from a 6-wheeled vehicle transporting iron bars at the Nyaung Kha Shay x-ray gate on the Yangon-Mawlamyaing Road in Waw Township, Bago Region, sources said.

On December 19, a vehicle that was driving from Taunggyi to Mawlamyaing and carrying iron and iron bars was detected by an X-ray machine at Nyaung Kha Shay checkpoint and the drugs in six iron boxes hidden under iron bars were seized

Among those iron boxes, 4,480,000 antipsychotic tablets were found in four iron boxes and another iron box containing 75,000 antipsychotic pills was discovered.

In addition, in the last iron box, 30 large packages containing one kg of white crystal believed to be ICE (methamphetamine), 27 packs containing about 10 grams of brown powder and 96 packs containing about 25 grams of brown powder, believed to be Happy Water, per (1) pack, (27) packs and 140 large packages containing one kg of white crystal believed to be ICE (methamphetamine) were found and seized.

"It is known that investigations are still underway regarding the drugs that were seized at the Nyaung Kha Shay x-ray gate," said a source close to the security forces.

Due to the discovery of these drugs, the defendants related to the case are arrested and prosecuted.
