G-Dragon delivered a message of courage at the KAIST graduation ceremony.

G-Dragon, who currently serves as a visiting professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), shared congratulatory remarks via video at the ‘2026 Commencement Ceremony’ held on the 20th at KAIST’s main campus in Daejeon. President Lee Jae Myung and First Lady Kim Hye Kyung were also in attendance at the event.

G-Dragon began by saying, “Congratulations. You did it, and you are people who will continue to achieve great things.” He continued, “You are now stepping into a world without fixed answers. It is okay to be wrong, as long as you do not stop.” Emphasizing courage, he added, “The courage to choose a different path from others will take you the farthest.”

Graduates at the ceremony responded with cheers and applause. His message resonated strongly with students preparing to leave behind exam papers and step into society, encouraging them not to fear failure.

G-Dragon’s connection with KAIST dates back to June 2024, when the university appointed him as a visiting professor in its Department of Mechanical Engineering, aiming to foster the convergence of science, technology, and K-content. Since his appointment, he has shared his creative vision and industry insights, including a special talk titled “The Future of AI Enter-Tech” at ‘Innovate Korea.’

KAIST President Lee Kwang Hyung previously stated that G-Dragon’s pioneering spirit in exploring uncharted territory aligns with the university’s vision. G-Dragon has also expressed his belief that the intersection of science and entertainment will bring about new transformative changes.
