Hawaii health officials allow Kaimuki restaurant to reopen
by Star-Advertiser Staff · Star-AdvertiserHawaii health officials have issued a green placard to the Himalayan Kitchen LLC in Kaimuki, authorizing the restaurant to reopen after shutting it down last week.
The reopening came after a follow-up inspection found that multiple critical food safety violations were corrected, according to a news release from the Department of Health’s Food Safety Branch.
The eatery on 11th Avenue received a red placard and was closed on Tuesday following a routine inspection that found the violations. Health officials issued Himalayan Kitchen LLC a green placard on Friday, allowing it to reopen.
Himalayan Kitchen offers Indian and Nepali dishes and has been at its current location for over 15 years.
