Inha University in Tashkent strengthens cooperation with INHA University in Korea
by Shirina Yergeshova · INHA University in TashkentAs part of a business trip to the Republic of Korea, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov and Rector of Inha University in Tashkent Bobur Abdullaev visited INHA University in Korea.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of Inha University in Tashkent and the expansion of cooperation with INHA University in South Korea.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the signing of a new five-year Royalty Agreement between the two universities.
Under the agreement, the following initiatives are planned:
▫️ regularly updating academic programs in line with modern requirements;
▫️ expanding academic mobility for students and faculty members;
▫️ launching joint master’s programs in engineering;
▫️ developing research activities and strengthening the university’s research capacity;
▫️ integrating the information systems of the two universities;
▫️ expanding opportunities for PhD programs and research internships for faculty members;
▫️ increasing the number of student places available for participation in the Summer School;
▫️ strengthening the involvement of INHA University in Korea in the development of the Fergana campus.
The new agreement creates additional opportunities to improve the quality of education, advance research, and expand international academic opportunities for students and faculty members.
The parties also agreed to continue joint efforts to strengthen the academic and research capacity of Inha University in Tashkent and develop a long-term partnership.
