Most healthy people should ditch their daily supplements because they’re a waste of money, says a prominent British doctor whose new book takes aim at the charlatans of the $6.8 trillion global wellness industry.
Xand van Tulleken, best known for co-hosting the children’s TV show Operation Ouch with twin brother Chris, says the science doesn’t stack up for most – if not all – popular supplements, including old favourites such as multivitamins and fish oil, as well as trendy newcomers like collagen and NMN, touted as an anti-ageing product.
