The Central Board of Secondary Education has started a month-long, in-person academic support programme for Classes 10 and 12 students in government schools, as preparation for the 2027 Board examinations gets underway.

The programme began on September 14 across 10 locations in the Union Territory of Ladakh. It focusses on strengthening subject knowledge and practical skills students need to approach Board exams with greater confidence.

FOCUS ON KEY BOARD SUBJECTS

For Class 10 students, the programme covers Mathematics and Science. Class 12 students will receive support in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics.

The sessions cover subject-wise preparation, assessment strategies, examination techniques and time management. Students will also be guided on effective ways to approach Board examinations.

The programme is being conducted in Leh, Nubra A, Nubra B, Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo and Chiktan.

EXPERIENCED TEACHERS LEAD SESSIONS

CBSE has nominated experienced teachers and resource persons from affiliated schools across the country to conduct the sessions.

The board said the initiative aims to improve students’ subject understanding, build confidence and strengthen examination preparedness.

The month-long format gives students time to work through academic difficulties before the Board examination season begins.

WHAT STUDENTS WILL GET

The focus is not restricted to completing chapters. Students will also learn how to manage time during preparation and examinations, understand assessment approaches and use suitable examination techniques.

CBSE is expected to release the Class 10 and 12 Board examination 2027 date sheet soon. The board has also informed affiliated schools that registration for Classes 9 and 11 and submission of the List of Candidates for Classes 10 and 12 will begin soon.

Schools have been asked to keep students’ personal details, subjects, photographs and signatures ready and verify them carefully. CBSE has flagged errors in subject codes, student details and List of Candidates submissions as recurring problems during recent examinations.

With the programme now underway, the focus is on helping students prepare steadily, build confidence and enter the 2027 Board examinations better prepared.
