The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken up the complaint of a Class 12 student on "top priority" after his social media post alleging discrepancies in his Physics answer sheet went viral, sources told India Today.
The board has also contacted the student, Vedant, following the online attention around his claim, according to sources.
The issue surfaced after Vedant alleged that the photocopy of his Physics answer sheet, received through CBSE's post-result verification process, did not match the answers he had written in the examination.
In his post, Vedant claimed that the answer booklet shared by the board under his roll number appeared to belong to someone else. He also posted images of the answer sheets provided by CBSE, raising questions about the evaluation and document-sharing process.
Sources said a dedicated team is monitoring complaints and cases related to board results that are being raised on social media platforms.
The development has brought fresh attention to CBSE's post-result processes, including access to answer sheet photocopies, verification requests and re-evaluation procedures followed by students after results are declared.
CBSE has not yet issued an official public statement on the specific allegations. The board's response and any further findings in the case are awaited.
